With AC Milan’s search for a new right-back ongoing, a new name has been linked in Italy international Alessandro Florenzi.
After an excellent bounce-back season in 2020-21 it seems as though Davide Calabria has the starting spot nailed down for next season, but there is still a gap in the squad to be filled, namely who will be the back-up to the 24-year-old Italian when he needs rest or is injured.
According to the latest from La Nazione (via La Nazione), Florenzi has not been redeemed by PSG and will return to Roma, but he is expected to leave again this summer. Inter and Juventus have been after him for some time and now Milan also seem to have joined the list of suitors.
The 30-year-old is valued at €13m by Roma, which is an affordable figure for the three teams involved. However, the Rossoneri’s main target for that particular role is Diogo Dalot, who is ‘one step away’ from returning from Manchester United.
