New San Siro: All the key information from the design brief

Milan and Inter presented their plans for the ‘nuovo San Siro’ to the public and to key officials on Thursday morning.

Zvonomir Boban, president Paolo Scaroni and Giorgio Furlani represented Elliott Management, while for Inter it was managing director Alessandro Antonello and director Beppe Marotta.

The event was held at the Bovisa Polytechnic in Milan, and began with Scaroni and Antonello revealing some vital details about the new development.

Scaroni commented (via MilanNews.it): We want a modern, functional and technological stadium and at its side a new functional district that can be used 365 days a year.

“The advantages of our proposal are: it will be much greener, it will be more sustainable and there will be a lower visual and acoustic impact.

“The stadium will be lower: now it is 68 meters, the two projects will be 30 meters high, it will be a closed stadium and therefore more friendly to those who live around and the environment.”
