Tijjani Reijnders will not take part in AZ Alkmaar’s friendly match against Shakhtar Donetsk today but AC Milan’s latest offer has reportedly been turned down.
According to Jeroen Haarsma of NHSport – who is in Dirkshorn for AZ’s friendly against Shakhtar – there are currently no negotiations with Milan for Reijnders going on at the moment.
The Rossoneri’s first offer has been firmly rejected as per the journalist, so an improved bid will be needed amid reports yesterday that one will soon be sent.
In the meantime, the 24-year-old will not participate in the first friendly game of the season today and will just train, which could be a signal regarding his future.
AZ seem to be standing firm on their valuation of Reijnders, who amassed 8 goals and 11 assists last season, which was enough to earn him a player of the season award and get a Netherlands call-up as well.
