A lot has been said about Christopher Nkunku’s future recently, and it now seems that the Frenchman may have made a decision about his AC Milan future.
In recent weeks, there have been several questions about what will happen with the Milan strikers in January. Santiago Gimenez has been a potential candidate to depart, as has Nkunku, but it has seemed that the Frenchman would be the likelier departure.

Of course, nothing has been decided so far, but the reports about Turkish interest certainly point in that direction too.
Not planned
This morning, it seemed that a deal could be closer than imagined, with Fenerbahce seemingly willing to offer a fee close to what the Rossoneri paid in the summer. However, it may not be that simple.
A report from English journalist Ben Jacobs, as MilanNews relays, states that the attacker does not want to leave the club after signing in the summer. Specifically, it is ‘not in his plans’ to depart so soon.
He is not looking to leave Italy, despite the talks with Fenerbahce taking place. So whether this halts a move or not will have to be seen. However, it may not be as simple as imagined to offload a striker in the winter for Milan.
Too bad Gimenez is injured. Otherwise, it would most certainly be him leaving. A complete flop he has been.
He’s been better than Gimenez by a mile.
LOL!!! People are getting fooled by his brace. Besides a penalty goal and the easiest of tap ins in 2025, what has he shown? He has spent 99% of the time hiding in the shadows and that 1% he has been seen, he has wasted chances – or making ballet dives after losing the ball.
He’s not good enough. And even if Santi hasn’t scored, he has helped the team in other ways. You cannot say the same about Nkunku.
Gimenez played for months with chronic pain and ankle problems, misdiagnosed by AC Milan’s mediocre medical staff, until a Dutch doctor got it right and operated on him. Whoever has played the game knows that if your ankle is acting up, it is hard to have a good first touch, and accurate finishing. So, a lot of what people blame Gimenez for, instead of being weaknesses, may have been the consequences of a misdiagnosed chronic medical problem, therefore not his fault.
Now that the problem has been dealt with, it is not excluded that Santi Gimenez, upon recovering, will show to everybody that he is indeed a good player. He has been good elsewhere, and is still young, so it’s not likely that he just unlearned how to play. Much more likely is that he was hindered by a chronic physical problem.
We’ll see.
Santi Gimenez in my opinion is better than Nkunku. I always said that I would prefer to see Nkunku being sold or loaned out, than Santi. For me, Nkunku is a has-been while Santi has more potential.
I hope that Santi will stay and prove all the doubters wrong.
Nah. At the same age Santi was in Dutch league Nkunku was Bundesliga top scorer. And Nkunku has more goal contributions in the last 3 games than Santi has had all season. All you have is a a feeling that Santi might be better at some point. All evidence, history and current performance shows Nkunku is clearly superior.

LOL. Proves my point above. People are fooled by the penalty goal and the easiest tap in of the year. You don’t seem to be able to see past the stats that lie. Look at their actual performances on the pitch and say with a straight face that Nkunku has been better.
Not fooled. What’s the saying? Facts don’t care about your feelings? Please feel free to compare Santi and Nkunku’s careers up to this point. The numbers speak for themselves.

I feel I’m repeating myself… Stats don’t show everything. You can compare stats from 5 years ago how much you like but that still won’t make real-life performance on the pitch wearing the Rossoneri-shirt suddenly different. Even though Gimenez hasn’t scored, he has helped the team. Nkunku has been absolutely abysmal excluding the two goals (penalty & the easiest of tap-ins).
If we only look at numbers from the past, I’d like to get prime Inzaghi & Sheva back to replace our current striker(s). But the thing is, I don’t care about the past. I care about now. And right now Nkunku just isn’t good enough. And when Gimenez gets back healthy, he’ll be 10x better than the Frenchman.
He’d be wise to start/keep scoring then. I’d love to see Milan in a 343 though.
Allegri will not play with 2 midfielders. The reason why our defense has improved is because we have 3 midfielders instead of 2.
Let him get used to Italian football. It’s his first half year , you can’t judge a player by 4 months (which he didn’t play regularly)

Both Strikers will come good. What we need is just a stop Gap quality striker like benzema on a 6 month contract so we can effectively compete for the title this year. Next year Santi and Chris will deliver the goods trust me.
I’m divided here, one part of me wants him out as I don’t see him well in Allegri’s system but the other part says stick with him, it’s only been a few months. Leao too was at first called Niang 2.0
It’s ridiculous how some people think we now have a Haaland in our team just because the lad scored a penalty and was (finally) able to hit the empty net from 0,5 meters.
Have you forgotten how awful be has been in every match? All the lost balls/duels with nothing to show for? All the appalling dives after losing the ball? The one which lead to the opponent scoring a counter-attack goal just because Nkunku was way too weak to control the ball and just decided to start crying on the grass?
If you think Nkunku is good enough for Milan, you’re basically begging us to compete for the Europa League places instead of trophies. Nkunku can’t do anything a 18-year-old primavera player couldn’t.
