A world-class striker did not arrive in January, so AC Milan will again look to recruit an elite number nine in a few months time, and the budget could be big.
Jean-Philippe Mateta was seemingly going to be the man for Milan moving forwards. However, issues found in his medical cancelled the deal, and it seems they will not revisit the Crystal Palace man in the future.

With that, perhaps a bigger investment could be made in the summer.
Significant investment on the cards
In fact, as Corriere dello Sport, via MilanNews24, wrote this morning, the cancellation of that deal would suggest that a ‘significant investment’ will be made in the summer. The primary objective for the management is clear, to provide Massimiliano Allegri with the world class striker he has been asking for since he arrived.
There is considerable uncertainty regarding the current options and their futures. So, the area will be looked at regularly in the next few months.
It is worth noting, too, that the Diavolo are not planning to make a sacrifice of either of their stars. Instead, Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic are deemed unsellable, unless offers too good to refuse arrive, which is always the case.
Indeed, the club aim to build a balanced and lethal attack, and they hope to find the last piece in the summer.

Yes guys, world class striker and we will end up with Kean. Which I really think isn’t that bad. Maybe he will work out good alongside Leao. And maybe Camarda or Pellegrino from Parma as 3rd option with Gimenez first sub.
Pellegrino is all hype. I saw nothing in that game that said wow. Looks like just another small club poacher type
Orighi: X
Bonny Face: X
MateTa: X
Guirassy: X in UCL
Vlahovic: X in UCL
Lewangoalski: yes and no
Icardi: yes and no
Whoever comes in, we need to play to their strengths. The closest we can realistically get to world class is Osimhen, but Vlahovic and Keane are very good alternatives if we have the right system. Our main issue for the past three seasons was not having a clear plan before signing players (Nkunku is the latest example). We need a system that makes the team greater than the sum of its parts. Our current system brings out the best in players like Rabiot, Pavlovic, and Saelemaekers but really limits our forwards who do not complement each other in a two striker system.
“Milan preparing for world-class striker”
Should we then expect as surprise like Erling Haaland ?
Or maybe Harry Kane ?
What about Ousmane Dembélé who recently had problems with PSG ?
Or perhaps steal Lautaro Martínez from inter ?
Does Kylian Mbappé fit our system and our needs ?
I know, I know, you whatever I’m enhaling right now.
you want whatever*
Milán need 2 strikers. If they are serious they would sign Guirassy and Kean. Vlahovic is overrated and not worth paying his agent 10m commission.
Honestly that’s a pretty foolish take. They are two completely different types of striker who virtually have the same stats. Xg+xa-pk: .54 for both players over their career. I think Susan fits Allegri’s tactics regardless of if it’s a 2 or a 3 man front. I’m not as optimistic that Kean would fit as cleanly into a two man attack. Don’t get me wrong I do think Kean could be successful in Allegri’s Milan but Allegri would/should adapt his formation to take advantage of Kean’s traits
“Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic are deemed unsellable, unless offers too good to refuse arrive”
This is the kind of oxymoron that sums up our management
Bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla
What’s the point of signing a world class striker if our brave coach will only play 2 wingers as strikers against smaller teams.
More likely ex-World Class striker … 🤡🔴⚫️
A very stupid club… Buying Nuclear weapons without the means to launch or operate them is stupid. The team lacks creativity
If only we played a 433 like Fabregas does with Como. I enjoy their style of play. We could bring put the best in Leão and Pulisic. Then fill in the gap with an actual world class striker
Another article full of nothing concrete other than more speculative reporting to generate hysteria. Can someone report on stuff that is actually happening?
World class striker like who ?
Vlahovic ?? Not even close..
Milan have money for big spend again ?
