‘No problems’ with Milan sale – Galatioto

By Oliver Fisher -

Silvio Berlusconi has been releasing a series of incoherent statements through the last couple of days regarding the future of AC Milan.

But despite the Italian businessman’s apparent doubts over a sale of AC Milan, negotiations between Fininvest and an unnamed group of Chinese investors are still ongoing.

Former American banker Sal Galatioto is the only person whose identity his known as his New York based studio represents the interest of the Chinese group willing to acquire a majority stake in AC Milan.

Talking for the first time about negotiations, Mr. Galatioto has denied any sort of conflict with Silvio Berlusconi

“There are no problems with the president of AC Milan. Our work continues”, he told spaziomilan.it.

The exclusive negotiation agreement signed by the two parties last month expires on the 15th of June, that’s when we’ll know if Berlusconi will sell the club or not.

However, with local elections going on in Italy this week-end, there might be news regarding the future of the club even earlier than that time.
