CM: Not only Origi – the other strikers Milan like from Gouiri to Isak

By Oliver Fisher -

Divock Origi might not be the only forward that AC Milan sign during the summer window as they want their attack to have more guarantees, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan could sign two or three new players for the attack and the first will be Origi, who has decided not to renew his contract with Liverpool who in turn have not exercised their option of an automatic extension by one year.

Negotiations are at an advanced stage and Milan are expected to close on the basis of a contract until 2027 at €4m net per season, and important updates could arrive in the next few days. He has been chosen for his flexibility, because he can play as a centre-forward or as a winger, but he has only scored 12 goals in the last three seasons.

That is why Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are thinking of signing a new striker regardless of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s choice to renew or not. Andrea Belotti is not considered a priority, while Gianluca Scamacca is very much admired and soon there will be a meeting with Sassuolo to discuss him.

There are options from abroad too such as Amine Gouiri of OGC Nice who has 12 goals this season, and the teenage Reims star Hugo Ekitike who has 10 goals. The name of Alexander Isak is popular, but he is valued at over €50m by Real Socieded and is being targeted by Premier League clubs so he currently seems far away.
