Telegraph: Nottingham Forest ‘remain interested’ in Musah – the situation

Despite there being no movement just yet, Nottingham Forest remain interested in a move for the AC Milan outcast.

There has been a lot of work done on the midfield this summer, and Yunus Musah’s situation is a bit puzzling. At the start of the summer, he was there to be sold. However, Massimiliano Allegri still likes the American.

Despite all this, there are still reports that suggest that the club are trying to work out an exit for him with Napoli and Nottingham Forest interested.

Interest in Musah

It is a risky game to play, and like how the Rossoneri are doing with a striker, without reassurance over their position, Forest (and Napoli, for that matter) could look elsewhere. However, it seems that the Reds are not just yet.

As reported by John Percy, a Midlands football reporter for The Telegraph, the Premier League outfit remains interested in a move for Musah this summer, which is relayed by Milan Posts on X. So far, they are believed to have put in an offer of €30 million, but there has not been much said since.

Time is running out for a move to materialise, and with the season starting this weekend, it may be better to get it over the line, rather than risk waiting.

    1. Correct😂 the last place team there makes as much as 1st here. They can pay the fees. Their out here paying 40mil for benchwarmers, we can easily make back musahs transfer fee

      1. Last place? Nottingham Forest was 7th last season? I mean Manchester United was in 15th, but that doesn’t stop them from overspending either.

  1. Don’t understand why we cling to this guy who is obviously not a football player yet we vanished Adli who is better at everything.

    1. So Musah is being courted by Forest and Napoli for 25m and no one wants to spend a penny on Adli? Why aren’t Forest, West Ham or Napoli just taking Adli, he is a much much better option right? isn’t he?

  2. we have 6 midfielders. One is 40 years old, one is injury prone (RLC), two will probably be starters (Ricci and Jashari). I dont if it’s smart to sell him rigth now. If we sell Adli and bennacer (we probably wont sell them, no one wants), money wont be a problem. I do think that a season here could be good for depth. And next season bondo will be back and them we sell musah. Maybe we can even get his vallue higher

    1. Musah’s value isn’t going to go higher. We need to sell him and Adli and Bennacer, and perhaps bring in one viable replacement. Bennacer is an injury prone mess. And the other aren’t any good.

      1. Nobody thought it would go above 25m earlier in the mercato but here we are at 35m.

@GuiZa makes a great point. If we sell Musah, IMO Adli steps back up as squad cover. So we have no rush. If we don’t sell Musah, then we have a squad player Allegri seems to value. I trust Allegri.

        1. All I’m saying is if we get 25 million, we should take it. And if an offer of 30 million does materialize (I don’t see where it says 35 million), then we absolutely have to take it.

  3. His comment wasn’t specifically about Nottingham Forrest, but about the last place teams paying more than Napoli…

  4. I don’t believe they put 30m on the table, if they have done that, Milan that I know would have sold him.
They should table the 30m first and see if we’ll not close the deal
