CM: The numbers that perfectly demonstrate Milan’s growth as a brand

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s growth continues on and off the pitch, and it bodes well for the future of the club from a financial point of view.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com), Milan have seen a 15% rise in home attendances compared to pre-Covid even though the capacity is currently limited to 75%.

Being in the running for the Scudetto increases the appeal of Milan and if they win the league it would lead to higher revenues, first of all from television rights that divided 50% equally among all clubs, then 30% based on sports results and 20% calculated on audience and fans at the stadium.

From August 2021 to today, 26 new partnerships have already been signed by the club and the numbers on their social media channels are also growing. On their YouTube channel, Milan have reached one million followers which is a rise of 104% compared to 12 months ago, with views increasing by 134%.

On TikTok the club have 4.2 million followers, which is up 162.5% since the beginning of the season. Looking at the accounts themselves, losses have been halved from €-194m to €-90m, showing a general, constant and important growth.
