The CEO of New York City FC has confirmed their interest in signing Christian Pulisic, but also that AC Milan are resisting.
There continues to be a lot of speculation about Pulisic’s future, despite the fact that Milan’s owner Gerry Cardinale and the new head coach Ruben Amorim have made it very clear that they intend to build the latest ‘new era’ around him.

The former Chelsea winger winger has been at the centre of rumours regarding a potential approach from MLS side NYCFC, with reports of a €50m contract being on the table. In recent days, there have been worrying suggestions that a renewal with the Rossoneri isn’t close either.
NYCFC interest in Pulisic confirmed
Brad Sims – the CEO of the American club – spoke to the New York-based portal amNewYork about the links with Pulisic, confirming a desire to bring him to Major League Soccer whenever he is ready.
“Ultimately, we’re believers that Christian is going to want to play in MLS, wants to be back home. At whatever point in time that is, we would think and hope that New York City FC would be very high on his list of teams that he would want to play for,” he said.
“To be able to get that done, if AC Milan doesn’t want to give him up, then it’s dead in the water. If you ask any of my 29 counterparts across the league if they would be interested in having Christian Pulisic on their team, I’m pretty sure you’d get 29 yeses.
“It’s an easy question to answer from that regard. Would we love to have him? Yes. Would any team in MLS love to have him? I’m pretty sure the answer to that would be yes. Would MLS, from a league standpoint, love to have Christian Pulisic here? I think that answer would be yes.”
Sempre Milan, why aren’t you covering the ongoing investigation (AT ALL), does that not interest your editors, you don’t find it relevant and interesting? You’ve been silent for months now, that’s strange.
Unpopular take (and against my previous takes) but I think it might be a good time to sell. The silence on his part is probably telling. He’s probably disillusioned by what’s happening at the club. Years on and no real trophy while he’s in his good years. Plus his body can’t take long spells in high level football in Europe. If we can get a good fee then it doesn’t make sense holding on to a player whose mind is not in it, as good as he is. We’ve held on longer beyond the sell by date for other players. Hope we don’t make the mistake here too
I don’t think you’re totally wrong and it’s never a good idea to keep an unmotivated player especially if you can get good money out of him.
But on the other hand, next season we’ll probably be playing a system (3-4-2-1) that suits him much better. And if/when Leão departs, there’ll be virtually no one to take his spot.
I think we should sell him. He needs a change of scenery. We need a player who is not vulnerable and can handle the load.
