Indeed, the extremes are much greater at this level, with the Rossoneri very much willing to shift different players around if they have better opportunities at different moments. Nevertheless, it seems that the team are in a good place currently.
The draw against Folgore Caratese is substantial, given that the visitors sit at the top of the league, showing the ability of this team.
Oddo’s analysis
After the game, Oddo spoke to MilanTV and expressed his pleasure with his team after coming back to get a point, as MilanPress relays.
“We faced, probably both technically and physically, the strongest team. I’m happy because the guys got into the game and they understood that today there was not only a need for quality but also for physicality, for physical confrontation.
“There was, especially in the second half. In the first one, we had a little more trouble in the construction because they came very strongly forward, and we were a bit stuck; we struggled to find the right plots. In the second half, we changed a little and built a three against their two attackers. We did, in my opinion, the best second half of the season.
“In the first half, maybe they didn’t create who knows what; it was a balanced game, they deservedly took the lead over a mistake of ours. In the second, there was no story, there was no game. We could have scored 3-4 goals; we lacked a bit of cynicism. But it doesn’t matter, the important thing is that the team begins to understand how to be on the field depending on what the needs of the game are.
“We have a group of guys who are more or less all at the same level. Everyone played, everyone had their chance.
“Today there were no changes because, to be honest, I didn’t know who to change: we are all really doing well, we were pressing so at that moment there was no need to change anything, also because physically we were all fine.
“At that moment, I wondered why change, the team was doing well both technically and physically. I changed in the last 3/4 minutes because I saw a hint of tiredness in Sardo and Asanji, to keep a few more balls.
“I believe that everyone is really growing, from the first to the last; there is no one who is growing less. Among these, the defence is certainly doing very well, and Berkay [Karaca] is also growing a lot.
“They are very young guys: Vladimirov is a 2008, in his career he has played a few games, this year he is playing with continuity, and continuity gives you baggage to also face situations and experiences on the field.
“They are growing, I am happy about this, the team is growing both in groups and individually. This is what we have to do, this is our path.”
