The academy product Andrea Bozzolan has officially completed a move to AC Reggiana, as was confirmed by AC Milan earlier today.
After a loan spell at Perugia in 2023-24, Bozzolan spent last season with Milan Futuro in Serie C, amassing 32 appearances with the side across all competitions. Despite being just 21 years old, he even wore the captain’s armband in one of the games.

Having said that, the left-back’s journey at the club has now come to an end. Considering that he’s been at Milan for many, many years, coming through the youth ranks of the club, he’s bound to feel a bit of melancholy.
Bozzolan to Reggiana is official
On their website earlier today, Milan confirmed the sale of Bozzolan to Reggiana: “AC Milan can confirm that Andrea Bozzolan has joined AC Reggiana 1919 on a permanent deal.
“The Club would like to thank Andrea for his professionalism and commitment since joining our Youth Sector, and wishes him all the best for his personal and professional future,” the statement read.
As added by the journalist Nico Schira, there is no transfer fee involved as Milan have let the youngsters leave on a free transfer. However, they will be entitled to 50% of a future resale, which is a formula that we saw with the likes of Daniel Maldini and Marco Brescianini as well.

😂 😂 😂 😂 Why do we even have a youth project? We don’t make money from it like other teams do so what’s the point of it?
Ah yes I remember this kid being hyped up a a season or so ago…sigh
Some will say it is as smart, because by the end the management dont let a player to go for “totally free”, but it will give milan money in the future. I can say i agree (but not 100%) with this “smart move”, although at one point it shows characteritic to “runaway” from their responsibility and give it to player’s next club. But as milan fan, I dont care much if milan management do that. Overall it is still win-win solution anyway to selling and purchasing club, that the latter doesnt need to spend money.
But in the future it can make things complicated and not as nice as on paper. Let say Bozzolan become good player in Reggiana and some bigger clubs are interested in him. Surely Reggiana management will calculate that they will only get 50% from a player they developed and raised. So the transfer negotiation will not be easy. Greedy is human nature, cannot blame 100% for it. Cases like Maldini Jr or Brescianini are best case scenario perhaps, but not always happen. Although once again, hey, it is not our problem anyway. Just sharing my thought about this kind of deal. Agree but not 100% convinced.
