In addition to the transfer market, Milan are also making moves on the corporate front. After parting ways with Fabio Guadagnini, the Rossoneri have now announced their new Chief Communications Officer.

As per the statement on their website, Pier Donato Vercellone has been appointed as the new man for the job. Milan decided to end their professional relationship with Guadagnini earlier last month and it was put into practice on Friday last week.

“AC Milan is delighted to announce the appointment of Pier Donato Vercellone as the Club’s new Chief Communications Officer as part of the continued investment into the success of the Club,” the statement read.

Vercellone almost 30 years of international communications experience and previously served as PR Director for Nike Europe. He has also worked for Telecom Italia and the city council of Milan, helping the latter promote the city’s brand.

Meanwhile, Stefano Pioli and his squad are preparing for the new season, which will start on Thursday next week. The Rossoneri will face Shamrock Rovers in the Europa League qualifiers, then Bologna for their first Serie A game of the season.
