Official: AC Milan announce Olivier Giroud has tested negative for Covid-19

By Isak Möller -

Olivier Giroud has tested negative for Covid-19, following the positive test that kept him out of the international break for France. This is good news for AC Milan, who have a tough schedule ahead.

The Frenchman has been important for the Rossoneri in the first two games of the season, bagging a brace against Cagliari. Certainly, he has shown that he’s good enough to be the deputy for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, or maybe even more.

On their official website, AC Milan announced that Guroud has now tested negative for Covid-19. Tomorrow, he will undergo the tests required to be able to resume sporting activities with the Rossoneri.

It remains to be seen when he will be back at Stefano Pioli’s disposal, but he most likely won’t be for the game against Lazio on Sunday. He should, however, be fully ready for the important Champions League clash against Liverpool.
