When the transfer window is open, things can change in a matter of minutes. This certainly was the case for AC Milan today, as Antonee Robinson’s arrival fell through in the last second.
The American international had even completed the medical for the Rossoneri, but ended up flying back to England this evening. As Wigan hinted in an official statement, not everything went smoothly with his physical checks, and that more tests were required.
Therefore, instead of the youngster, Milan decided to bring back Diego Laxalt from Torino. The Uruguayan has spent the last six months on loan with the Turin side, but now he’s ready to return to the San Siro.
On their official website this evening, the Rossoneri announced the early return of Laxalt. As Ricardo Rodriguez left for PSV Eindhoven, the former Genoa man will be the backup for Theo Hernandez on the left-hand side.
“AC Milan announces the early return from the loan to Diego Sebastián Laxalt’s Torino FC. Welcome back Diego,” the statement read.
