Official: AC Milan confirm first preseason friendly of the summer on July 17

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have officially confirmed their first preseason friendly of the summer as they will face Pro Sesto at Milanello on Saturday.

The club have officially announced on their Twitter profile that the first friendly of summer 2021 will be played against Pro Sesto and will take place on Saturday 17 July at 5pm CEST. There will be no fans due to Covid restrictions, but the game will be streamed on the official AC Milan app, the Milan TV channel and the club’s official YouTube channel.

It marks the first test for Stefano Pioli’s side in preseason but the squad is not yet complete. Those who played in the European Championships and those who have injury problems will be missing.

Milan are also expected to face Nice on 31 July and Panathinaikos on 14 August, with rumours that a game against Valencia at the Mestalla is also in the pipeline, but we must wait for the official confirmation.

  1. I hope he tries a 3-5-2 with defensive mids and an attacking mid. Try Rebic at 10. I think we have the personnel to pull this off with out spending to much money in the market. But we will need at least 1 more striker after Giroud. Saleamaekers and Calabria could play wingback in the right. Theo on the left. This also allows us to have Tomori, Kjaer and romangoli all playing at the same time.
