AC Milan have officially confirmed that young midfielder Tommaso Pobega will spend the 2020-21 season on loan at Spezia.
Milan confirmed last month that they had agreed a new deal with Pobega until 2025, after a season in which he amassed six goals and three assists in 34 appearances across all competitions for Pordenone.
A number of sources have suggested that Stefano Pioli would make his assessments in preseason regarding Pobega before deciding whether to loan him out or keep him around.
Then it became apparently that Pioli had made the decision to allow Pobega to leave on loan, with several sources reporting that Spezia were closing in on welcoming him.
Now, the club have confirmed Pobega’s move to Spezia, which includes the insertion of an option to buy but also a buy-back in favour of Milan, should he explode on loan at the Serie A newcomers and the management wish to bring him back.
