Official: AC Milan confirm Pioli has renewed his contract until 2025

AC Milan have officially announced that head coach Stefano Pioli has extended his contract with the club for another two years.

In a statement on the club’s official website, the Rossoneri have communicated that Pioli has put pen to paper on a contract until 30 June 2025, with his previous deal having been set to expire in June 2023.

Pioli joined Milan part way through the 2019-20 season after Marco Giampaolo was sacked and it has been a very positive journey since, one which led to the 2021-22 Scudetto win. Now, Milan and Pioli shall ‘continue to work on this ambitious project’ which ‘reflects the club’s history and values’.

The next game in store will be on Wednesday night at a sold out San Siro, with a win or a draw against Red Bull Salzburg enough to reach the Champions League knockout stages, which would be another important step in the virtuous cycle that Pioli has embarked on.

  1. Congrats coach….
After a while, we finally feel the pain of defeat. After so many years it feels normal to lose, because too often this team has been beaten by opponents in the past.
Anyway, you should spend a little time reading the comments on sempremilan.com.
FYI, a lot of “coaches” here are very knowledgeable about how you should handle a team…..

    1. Hahahaha true that 😂😂😂
I especially like the Pioli is not a tactician comment. Wins a Scudetto but somehow is a terrible coach.🤷‍♂️
Congrats Pioli, it is well deserved. You’re working miracles with no proper CAM, CDM and RW week in week out.

  2. I dunno about the coaches here but I do know that Pioli coached a mediocre team to scudetto while losing only 4 matches – and out of the 4 defeats, two of the were caused by the referees.

I bet people wanting him out would have done a better job. 🙂

    1. Yeah bb i doubt anybody would have done a better job than pioli has done up untill now, he has the best winning % stats since capello in the mid 90ies and that says quite a lot.
We should praise ourselves lucky that we have him as our coach as he has brought success and stability to the club regardless of yesterdays horrible performance.

  3. Congrats to Pioli. Well deserved.
I was against his hire in 2019 but what he has done in these 3+ years has been unbelievable.
Came in at probably the lowest point in Milan history, where the club was a mess top to bottom, and manage to turn them into serie A champs with literally no money available for transfers, injuries, pandemic, starters leaving for free.
He has done very well so far, is he capable of taking Milan to the next level or has he reached his limit? Well, will have to wait and see. Time will tell

  4. Very well deserved – we’ve really demonstrated the benefits of stability for the last few years and it’s easy to forget that the Scudetto last year was won despite huge budget deficits to the likes of Juve and Inter. This year the challenge will be staying in that top 4 and getting back into the Champion’s League next season so come on team!
