AC Milan have officially confirmed the deadline day signing of forward Junior Messias from Crotone on an initial loan deal.
A statement on the club’s official website confirmed that Milan have signed Messias from the Serie B side on loan with an option to buy that can be activated in summer 2022. The player underwent his medical earlier today, and the statement also confirms that he will wear the number 30 shirt.
The Brazilian moved to Italy in 2011 and played for Casale and Chieri, before making his debut in professional football with Gozzano only six years ago. His climb up the ladder continues as two summers ago he joined Crotone, earning a Serie A promotion and scoring 15 goals in 72 appearances across two seasons with the Calabrian side.
He netted 9 times for Crotone last season and added 4 assists as they were relegated without much of a fight, and he will provide much-needed attacking depth for Pioli’s side.
