Official: AC Milan confirm signing of Yunus Musah on deal until 2028

AC Milan have officially announced the signing of USA international midfielder Yunus Musah from Valencia on a long-term contract.

On the official website, Milan state that they are pleased to announce the signing of Musah on a permanent basis, with the 20-year-old having signed a contract with the club until 30 June 2028.

Born in New York on 29 November 2002, Musah came through the Arsenal academy before transferring to Valencia in 2019. For the Spaniards, he played one season with the B team before being promoted to the senior side.

He made his debut in September 2020, eventually making 108 appearances and netting five goals. He has also earned 27 appearances with the USA National Team, with whom he has won 2 CONCACAF Nations League titles.

It was also confirmed by the club that Musah will wear the number 80 shirt after some earlier confusion arose based on signatures.

He becomes the eighth signing of the summer after Luka Romero, Marco Sportiello, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Christian Pulisic, Tijjani Reijnders, Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze.

  1. Interesting how the official club site did not even mention that Musah’s family moved to Italy right after his birth in the US (they were only visiting, Musah has never lived in the USA).
Musah lived in Italy until age nine, when his family moved to England.
Before Arsenal, Musah got his start in the youth ranks of ASD Giorgione Calcio 2000

  2. @Gandalf they didn’t mention that he’s Ghanian & his parents comes from Ghana but good signing never the less & I am very impressed with Garry now😂😂😂 If I was angry with Garry Cardinale before, i apologise😂😂😂
This has been the best summer since the Chinese

    1. We may need 4 more signings as I can definitely see we will really on the 4-2-3-1 formation. Pioli definitely knows nothing about the 4-3-3 formation.

CF: Giroud and Okafor (Origi is leaving)
      LW: Leao and Salamanda
RW: Chuky and Romero (Messias is leaving)
AM: Pulisic and 1 MORE SIGNING (if both CDK and Adli leave – even though I think Pioli should give Adli a chance, but seems unlikely)
      CM: Musah and RLC
DM: Reijnders and 1 MORE SIGNING (a real destroyer DM – Krunic may leave, Pobega will be backup for midfield, Bennacer injured)
LB: Theo and 1 MORE SIGNING (Ballo is leaving)
RB: Calabria and 1 MORE SIGNING (Florenzi cannot be banked on)
CB: Tomori, Thiaw, Kalulu and 1 MORE SIGNING (Caldara will leave, we may decide to keep Kjear)

      In summary, we need:
      AM
      DM
      LB
      RB
      CB (only if Kjear leaves)

PS: I remember early enough when I said we don’t have the complete composition for a 4-3-3 formation as we lack a destroyer DM, and that I was very sure after the acquisition of Musah, we will still try for a DM like Amrabat, some of you who know absolutely nothing about football came choking on my jugular, they said we don’t need such profile and that all can be identical and that our midfield is sorted after Musah, I rested and allowed peace to reign.
Today we can all see we are after a DM, no surprise at all.

It is I speaking, you may not like it, but I speak the truth, I may come off as brut sometimes, but that’s me, I’m a wilderness man.

I wish us a prosperous season.

  3. Now Milan have so much needed players for rotation. Just remember, last year players who represent our bench, and should have impact for team, but failed a lot:
Tatarusanu, Ballo Toure, Dest, Bakayoko, Vranckx, De Ketelaere, Adli, Rebic, Origi, Ibrahimovic, who played very little time with so bad impact. New arrivals should do much more needed difference in games.

    1. Yeh but this is outrageous to get rid of Messias, Ambro – sorry – Krunic, Dest, Rebic, Origi, CDK – it’s too much! A football club’s bound to fail if it replaces mediocre players with upgrades.

    2. You’re actually putting Ibra’s name with Origis? Ibra didn’t play much his last season, but he still had a big impact on this team
