AC Milan have confirmed that Lorenzo Colombo has joined Cremonese on loan until the end of the 2020-21 season.
A statement on the club’s official website confirms that Milan and US Cremonese have reached an agreement over the loan of the 18-year-old striker.
As expected there is no mention of anything such as an obligation or option to buy meaning there doesn’t appear to be any chance of the deal becoming a permanent one.
It will be a useful exercise for the teenager to go and get regular minutes in Serie B in a side that are currently 14th and in desperate need of attacking firepower.
The Rossoneri welcomed Mario Mandzukic to the attacking department last week which bumped Colombo even further down the pecking order.
With Mandzukic ready to play immediately and Rebić and Leão now back, the department is overcrowded, and as such there had been speculation that Colombo could leave on loan to get guaranteed minutes elsewhere and continue to develop.
