Official: AC Milan confirm Theo Hernandez has tested negative for Covid-19

By Isak Möller -

Last week, with the Hellas Verona clash beckoning, AC Milan were dealt a big blow as Theo Hernandez tested positive for Covid-19. He has since missed three games for the Rossoneri, but is now ready to return.

The Frenchman is absolutely a key player for Milan and this has been evident during his absence. Fode Ballo-Toure hasn’t been able to do as well, which perhaps would be unrealistic, but the Rossoneri will be delighted to have Theo back.

On their official website this morning, they confirmed that the left-back has tested negative for Covid-19. In other words, he will perhaps be called up for the game against Torino on Tuesday evening.

“AC Milan announces that Theo Hernández has tested negative to the COVID-19 swab test,” it read.

It remains to be seen what condition he’s in, as we have seen players struggle after Covid-19 before. However, he was fully vaccinated and most likely this has helped him a great deal.
