Official: AC Milan draw Manchester United in the last 16 of the Europa League – the details

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will face over a two-legged tie in the last 16 of the Europa League, today’s draw has confirmed.

The Rossoneri secured their progression into the final 16 of the competition, but it was far from straight forward. Having scored twice in Belgrade last week, the Rossoneri knew that they simply had to avoid defeat or a high-scoring draw against Serbian league leaders Red Star in order to progress, but away goals is exactly what they needed to go through after a 3-3 aggregate draw.

Going into the draw, Milan knew that they could face any of Manchester United, Tottenham, Arsenal, Ajax, Roma, Shakhtar Donetsk, Villarreal, Granada, Glasgow Rangers, Dinamo Zagreb, Dynamo Kiev, Young Boys, Slavia Praha, Olympiacos or Molde.

Milan got Manchester United, and the first leg will be played at Old Trafford with the return leg at San Siro a week later. The first leg will be played on Thursday 11 March in England, while the return is scheduled for Thursday 18 March.

  1. If you want to be the winner you must face the tougherest .it seems United are favorite to win the championship and beaten them will means we’re the favorite to win.forza Milan

  2. A great tie on paper..Man United will be huge favorites but they have a shaky defence…we can beat them and put ourselves back on the map…. Romagnoli must not play though… Premier league teams have fast strikers so…Tomori must play..

    1. Yeah Cavani is super quick 😂 you’re an absolute idiot, Romagnoli is not the issue you’re just jumping on the bandwagon

  3. It’s a good passionate challenge. MU also have weaknesses, it will be interesting to explore how to beat them. Nothing is impossible. Be calm, think smart, prepare the best. FORZA MILAN!

  4. Remind me of champions league final. This could be an advanced final of european cup. At least we could see them playing after a decade.
