Official: AC Milan vs. Empoli starting XIs – Kessie, Bennacer and Tonali all start

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has named a team to face Empoli with just one change compared to the line-up that beat Napoli.

Mike Maignan will be in goal with Davide Calabria, Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori and Alessandro Florenzi as the back four, with the latter filling in at left-back because Theo Hernandez is out due to suspension.

The big news is in midfield where Ismael Bennacer, Sandro Tonali and Franck Kessie have all been given the nod meaning that Brahim Diaz will be on the bench just as he was against Napoli. Kessie passed a late fitness test to keep his place in the line-up.

Junior Messias and Rafael Leao will be the right and left wingers respectively, with Olivier Giroud the centre-forward again.
