Official: AC Milan vs. Fiorentina starting XIs – two changes from Inter draw

AC Milan head coach Sergio Conceicao has named his starting line-up ahead of a must-win game against Fiorentina at San Siro tonight.

Milan draw 1-1 against Inter in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final on Wednesday night, and at present the domestic cup is their most realistic route into a European competition for next season.

Nevertheless, the Rossoneri have the duty to try rack up as many points as possible, even if four defeats in their last six Serie A games has put them nine points away from fourth spot.

The official starting XIs

The absentees for Milan will be Alex Jimenez due to suspension, plus Emerson Royal and Ruben Loftus-Cheek due to injury. Tijjani Reijnders was a doubt due to a virus, but the good news is that he is available.

Conceicao has named a back four of Kyle Walker, Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez ahead of Mike Maignan. Yunus Musah and Youssouf Fofana are the midfield double pivot.

Christian Pulisic takes up a position on the right win with Rafael Leao on the left and Tijjani Reijnders as the playmaker, having overcome a sickness bug. Tammy Abraham leads the line.

Official Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Walker, Thiaw, Tomori, Hernandez; Musah, Fofana; Pulisic, Reijnders, Leao; Abraham.

Bench: Sportiello, Torriani; Florenzi, Pavlović, Terracciano, Gabbia; Reijnders; Chukwueze, Gimenez, João Félix, Jović, Sottil.

  1. And just as expected, Musah happily gives away the ball that led to the goal without any sort of pressure around him. This coach man!!

  2. What a bunch of c0nts. I miss the days when disgruntled fans trashed the players cars if they didn’t live up to standards expected oh well 0-2 in less than 10 minutes.
Hope the sissies in our team are proud of themselves.

  3. 10 minutes in and 0:2! Musah absolute horror show again on fist goal and second goal Kean was just standing there, unmarked. He had so much time that he could have coffee and a donut before scoring! This is dreadful.

  4. Guys …I think this season is over ! Am not sure we can achieve Europe. The whole team are playing with fear..They are all in panic mode except few. Am sorry to say this to our player. Musah ruined our season. It was when he got the red card that the team nosedived in performance.

    1. 1-2 now but even if they actually manage to turn this one around then the players deserves to be fearful as they have furthered the mockery of this once proud club and its fans.
Not many of our players deserves to call themselves professional footballers as they act lethargically as they please all season.

  5. How many times this season have we seen substitutions being made in first 20 minutes of play due to underperforming? It’s happening like every second match and it only shows that not only is this team garbage, this coach is also clueless with setting up his first 11.

  6. Not that I am hating anyone here, but I have lost count of how many times Theo hasn’t had any support from leao in defence. When everyone is trying to win the ball by falling back, leao has decided to buy a piece of land on the wings, never to leave there. Fofana always wants to make difficult passes when simple options are there. There is no dynamism in him. He should be the first line of defense for our back 4, but always caught of guard.Mike takes forever to start play. The real problem in this team is the midfield. Oh how I like Napoli’s lobokta, but milan won’t dream of him. Non of our mids is good enough to lace his boots, probably except reijnders who is weakened by his compatriots awful performance. As for musah it best not to comment.

  7. Reijnders just recovered from a sickness, Conceicao put him in instead of starting Chuk in the RW and Pulisic in AM. Musah is so terrible yet he started him instead of Bondo. This coach is so damn clueless it’s appalling to see. Theo continues to walk around our goalpost and yet we can’t bench him and try someone else in that position like Fonseca did to teach the sissy a lesson.

    1. Bro, I was just thinking the same thing! WTF was that? Last chance in the game and they completely blew it. Take a damn shot!

  8. I can’t believe that I’m saying this but the coach is as bad as the players. I think he would return to Portugal at the end of the season. He can’t coach in any of the top leagues.
