AC Milan have officially announced the signing of experienced striker Samuele Longo for the Milan Futuro side.

On their official website, Milan have announced the signing of Longo, who was most recently playing for Ponferradina in Spain after having had experiences in various other countries.

The 32-year-old played for Treviso’s academy before moving to Inter, and from Milan’s rivals he went on loan to Espanyol, Hellas Verona, Rayo Vallencano, Cagliari, Frosinone, Girona, Tenerife, Huesca, Cremonese, Deportivo La Coruna and Venezia.

He finally got a permanent move in 2020 to Vicenza but was again loaned out to Modena. Longo has since played for Dordrecht, Lamia and then Ponferradina.

Longo represented Italy at U19 through to U21 level, scoring four times in 19 games for the latter age group. It was reported that he actually underwent his medical last month, but like some other signings for the Futuro there has been a delay in announcing.

    1. Due to physical and difficult nature of playing in Serie C. The oppisition are grown men with professional experience. 17 to 23 year old kids can’t be expected to play and train as professionals alone without experienced players by their side. They also usually lack the physicality and consistency to compete day in day out. This will give them a player to prepare with and play along with who can guide them along the way.

      1. So why have the Futuro at all???

This is turning into a farce.

They can’t trust youth players in Serie A so set up their own team in Serie C (!!!) and then don’t even trust them in Serie C!!!

        1. Could not have put it better my friend!!!!! Sadly milan seems to be led and managed these days by clowns, idiots, fools, incompetent nobodies and donkeys who want to teach the world how the international transfer market should move on ….. they are nothing but nerds …..

    2. Because you play 38 matches of football, there are 3 Groups, Champions get promoted from each group. 2,3 and 4 enter the playoffs which is another 5 KO rounds to the final to win promotion along with the Champions from each group.

      1. 38 games!

        Oh their poor little legs!

I mean how do professional rugby players or basketball players or tennis players or any other sporting players cope!

    3. To give the team a better chance at getting promoted to Serie B. If Barca and Madrid can get their teams promoted to Liga B, then we can too (so long as Milan don’t get relegated again).

      1. But we’ve been sending youth players to their career deaths in Serie B and C for years so how will that help us?

Why do I have a feeling Futuro is the new dumping ground…..
