AC Milan have officially confirmed the signing of Goncalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain on a multi-year deal.
Various sources reported that Milan agreed a deal with PSG on Friday evening to sign the striker, and it will be a club-record fee of €74m plus bonuses that is shelled out. The reaction to the news was predictably strong, but Ruben Amorim has ultimately got the centre-forward he was looking for.

At the time that news of the deal broke, it was also claimed that Ramos had in fact already undergone a medical out in the USA while with the Portuguese national team. It has now been confirmed, with the announcement of the signing coming today.
A statement on the official website reads as follows: “AC Milan today announced the signing of Gonçalo Matias Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain FC. The Portuguese striker has signed a contract with the Club until 30 June 2031.
“Born in Olhão on 20 June 2001, Gonçalo Ramos honed his talent in the youth academies of S.C. Olhanense and S.L. Benfica, where he rose through the ranks before making his professional debut in 2019.
“He went on to make over 100 appearances and score 41 goals for Benfica, emerging as one of Portugal’s most exciting talents and helping the club secure the Primeira Liga title in the 2022/23 season.
“In the summer of 2023, he joined Paris Saint-Germain FC, where he has continued to compete at the highest level of European football. During his time in Paris, he has won three Ligue 1 titles, two Coupe de France trophies, three Trophée des Champions, two UEFA Champions League titles, one UEFA Super Cup and one FIFA Intercontinental Cup, while scoring 45 goals in 131 appearances.
“Since making his senior international debut for Portugal in November 2022, Ramos has become a regular presence for his national team, representing his country at two FIFA World Cups and contributing to Portugal’s UEFA Nations League triumph in the 2024/25 season.
“AC Milan welcomes Gonçalo Ramos and wishes him every success with the Rossoneri.”
A shirt number has not been confirmed as part of the statement, but it feels highly likely that he will take over the No.9 left vacant by Niclas Füllkrug’s exit, after his loan deal expired.

Welcome to milan, goncalo
Una maglia pesante…
100%
Welcome ❤️🖤❤️🖤👊
Welcome 🤗 🖤❤️
People say he scored only 45 goals in 131 games, but he was mostly a backup and his ratio per minute is not bad (120 mins per goal. Not that it matters much, as the current Milan state is polar opposite of PSG..
I hope he deserves at least half of the speculated price tag we paid for him and I hope he is mentally strong as we are not the most welcoming and supporting fan community..
Wanting to write my own comment, but I just wanna appreciate yours, well said.
Welcome Goncalo, happy for such a player in our shirt.
That’s the thing isnt it. He’s a BACKUP that cost 74mil. And even in Benfica, he never scored more than 20 league goals. Not saying that he’s bad or something. I was excited to see his name connected to Milan from a season ago. So far, his price obv seems unjustified. But let’s see.
Tiago Santos (guess who his agent is), Stones, Inacio, Ruggeri, Hjulmand, Liberali, Ramos
& a backup 9 and 1 more AMC/W for depth…
GOOD LUCK, GONÇALO(S) 😀
Can’t believe Fullkrug wore the 9.
Good player but 74mil? I don’t know how PSG kept a straight face signing that one off…
It’s like selling Gimenez or Chukwueze for 50 mil.
You just gotta accept it, we are like a man without steez but spending money to woo a woman.
No Champions League football, we couldn’t even afford a bidding war had we delayed.
We just had to match the valuation and seal the deal, this is reality, Inter tried it with Palestra and were dealt with. The would have closed that deal in 48 hours.
Serie A isn’t like before, we just snatched a back to back UCL winner, so he brings something more than just goals, he brings with him a winning mentality.
Why is no one talking about what would make a back to back UCL winner come to a Europa League team? Amorim clicked the right button.
Well I’ll be the first to celebrate if he bangs in 20+ goals next season…
He wasn’t a major protagonist in those 2 UCL trophies. It’s like saying Brocchi was worth 50m+ because he’s a 2x winner, super Cup and CWC winner. Modric won it 6 times. How did that work out? Those accolades only go so far
But 74mils? Nah bro. This means we got fleeced bro. Nobody was bidding for him
Did you actually comprehend what I wrote?
I never said he is worth 74mil because he won 2 UCL, nah, I said he brings a winning mentality for being part of that team.
The essence of me sighting the analogy of a man without steez spending money to woo a woman is a direct implication that he may have to overspend because other factors may not be in his favour. And my take was entirely on this premise.
Imagine if we had delayed and much bigger teams with UCL football and more money enters the race, oir chances of getting him would have diminished.
And that was why I referenced Inter Milan loosing out on Palestra because they were being economical.
If the player is what the coach wants, considering that we really cannot afford a bidding war, we may have to sacrifice some cash and act swiftly and decisively to secure our targets.
One thing is certain, this is definitely not the time to lowball.
I remember recommending Osimhen at €75 million during the end of the season and some fans came for my jugular stating that there’s no chance we would spend €75 million on a single player, and I went rogue on them, stating that it was indeed possible.
Fast forward, I’m glad that same fans who complained about us lowballing are same fans on the other side saying we overspend.
Life is dynamic, isn’t it buddy?
I was saying, specifically, that his UCL titles don’t count for much when he wasn’t a protagonist in either of them. And even if you are, those titles can only get you so far. You had 2 paragraphs on that so I based the reply on that🤷♂️. I’m wondering if you in turn comprehend my response lol
I agree with the rest though but I also don’t agree that we’d be in a bidding war if we didn’t go for the player. We got him in late june. If he was in demand another club would have snatched him up by now. Reports seem to indicate that there was no bidding war.
Also re Osimhen, like you I have also been vocal for years now on getting him. Both him or Lukaku. Both knows the league well and can score. But paying say 80m on Osimhen or Lukaku who are veritable goal scorers is different than paying 74m for a bench warmer. I’m not going to cough anything up to “oh finally they’re spending”. How you spend also matters and we’ve been bad at it. We’ve low balled and missed targets before. That’s also a problem. But that doesn’t mean that we should overpay too just for the sake of it.
74 millions plus some bonuses…wtf…
I really hope he will be the prolific striker we need so bad and he won’t get injured…
LMAO 😂😂 I didn’t realize this was real.
Dammmm, 74mil? For a sub in another team. Boy I sure hope these guys know what they’re doing. For that price I’d say just get Oshimen 🤷♂️ or even Lukaku .
Anyways you’re here, welcome and good luck!
All the best💪
Welcome and good luck.
I hope we sign Ronaldo, too!!
It’s all joy and celebration, but 74 million is still wild to think about.
Just to point out, I think we should not look at the 74mil in the lenses of the real world and look at it in football terms. Too many factors are in play. How much are strikers going for nowadays? Especially if they are young and coming from big teams. Heck, how much will the whole PSG team be going for after back to back CL and a World cup year. Sure it will be inflated. We can say he was a backup, but that’s also because he has a different characteristics to the way they play. Heck, how much do you think the PSG front 3 will be going for?.. (probably Dembele not as much as expected because he is slightly older)
PSG signed him for 65 when his market value was 50
Milan signed him for 74 when his market value was 30.
Amazing club.
Welcome Goncalo. Now tear it up!
Inadequate management
His Transfermarket value 29 mln;
He scored over 15 goals per season only once!!
He is 25 years already
This is ridiculous!!!!!
Well I smell something dirty in this deal.
He was always on our radar precisely because he is a 30 to 40m player max.
Not that transfermarkt is the gospel but they value him at 30m.
How on earth or indeed why would we spend 74m??
These owners have run the club badly and spent badly. Often too cheap and now too expensive.
Has this been done to offset fans anger when Rabiot, Mike, Bartesaghi, Leap, pulisic are sold?
I bet you one of those ends up at PSG.
I have zero faith in the owners capacities and indeed intentions.
Good look to Goncalo, I think he’ll do well but never will justify that pricetag.
I’d walk to Turkey to bring back Osihmen
Just like our deals with ex Chelsea players. The most obvious one was Nkuku. Where we spend almost 40 mil for a player the coach didn’t even need. And with the same kind of sudden – under the radar – transfer move.
I don’t give a hoot about the price. A good player, hope he adjusts quickly and scores many goals.
we got scammed
osimehn thinking wtf we didnt get him
And since when did Milan start writing eulogy for every deal they sign?
This club is currently giving some suspicious vibes.
