Official: AC Milan midfielder will miss at least one month with foot injury

As was revealed by Stefano Pioli during the press conference earlier today (via MilanNews.it), Rade Krunic is the only Rossoneri man currently injured. Now, AC Milan have released a statement on the Bosnian’s condition.

Tomorrow evening, the San Siro side will take on Inter in the long-awaited derby. Krunic, on the other hand, will be on the sidelines once again as he’s struggling with an injury. By the looks of it, he will miss quite a lot of games.

On their official website, Milan confirmed that the midfielder is suffering from a foot injury, which will force him out of action for at least one month. Considering that the Rossoneri don’t have a lot of depth in that position, it’s certainly a big blow.

“AC Milan announces that the results from Rade Krunić’s medical tests have revealed a stress fracture to the third metatarsal of his right foot, with the injury requiring conservative treatment. The player will undergo a further X-ray examination in one month’s time,” the statement read.

Furthermore, after a rocky start to the season, Krunic had started to perform well when given the chance. Hopefully, the recovery process will be faster than expected, as the Rossoneri are entering an important phase of the season.
