Official: AC Milan announce Alessandro Plizzari has joined Pescara permanently

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have announced that goalkeeper Alessandro Plizzari has joined Delfino Pescara on a permanent deal.

Through a statement on their official website, Milan have confirmed that Plizzari has been allowed to leave to start a new adventure with Pescara, having come through the academy with the Rossoneri.

The club went on record to thank Alessandro for the professionalism that he has always displayed and wished him the very best for the future, both professionally and personally.

The 22-year-old only made three appearances for Lecce last season after joining on a loan deal at the end of the January transfer window, and he will now drop down a level and play for Pescara in Serie C.

The Italian has never managed to make a senior appearance for Milan but he did have some previous loan spells at teams such as Ternana, Livorno and Reggina, not quite managing to crack Serie A.

  1. There was a lot of hype. Thought he would be the one to challenge Donnarumma but never happened hopefully he comes to the top one day

    1. Calabria, Pobega and Gabbia.
Generally Milan has a major problem with squad regulations. By my count they’ll only fill 23 of 25 spots if Maldini leaves.
And everyone that’s linked with Milan is non-Italian.

      1. And Maldini is still U21, he does not need to be registered at the 25 person list, so is CdK if he join, will be a big problem if the one who join is Ziyech instead.

  2. All the best to Plizzari! With Maignan in the starting role and Tatarusanu and Mirante as backups, Plizzari needed to leave if he is to get playing time and develop.
