Official: AC Milan confirm signing of Filippo Terracciano on deal until 2028

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have officially confirmed the signing of defender Filippo Terracciano who has joined on a long-term deal from fellow Serie A side Hellas Verona.

The club’s official website has announced that Terracciano has put pen to paper on a contract with Milan that will run until 2028, therefore a four-and-a-half-year deal, while he will wear the No.38 shirt.

Terracciano was born in Verona on 3 February 2008 and he came through the youth sector of his boyhood team, graduating to the senior side in 2021.

He has been a starter for the best part of a year and a half with the Gialloblu, playing a number of different positions from right and left-back to wing-back and even in midfield.

He has also been capped for the Italian national team at U18 level through to the U21s, with whom he made his first and only appearance last in November 2022. He has played mostly with the U20s.

According to what various sources have been reporting, the deal is worth an initial €4.5m with around €1-1.5m in potential bonuses and a 10% future resale clause in favour of Verona.

Terracciano is expected to train with his new team-mates at Milanello tomorrow, and he could well make his Serie A debut for his new club on Sunday against Roma at San Siro.

    1. Probably CB for the new 2 months.
      😉
      Seriously though.
It will be interesting to hear Pioli’s first comments on how he is going to use him.

    2. My guess based on his versatility is that he will be a utility player (he will come on in various positions as needed in the match).

During this time, he can grow and Milan can decide, over time, where his best position is.

My guess is that initially they will use him as a backup to Theo but I feel his future role will be right wing back (Perhaps florenzi replacement)

    3. He will cover full back positions.
Hes young, talented and cheap, so the algorithm said yes!
Who are we to question our supreme leader
      All hail the algorithm!

    4. Possibly as DMF considering we don’t have Pobega and also Bennacer until he’s back from African Cup.

But i can see Pioli played him as CB too since currently we only have Kjaer, Gabbia, and Simic.
