Official: AC Milan vs. Spurs starting XIs – Tomori not even on the bench

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has not made a single change to the starting line-up for the game against Spurs compared to the side that beat Torino on Friday.

Milan will start with Ciprian Tatarusanu in goal protected by a three-man defence formed by Pierre Kalulu, Malick Thiaw and Simon Kjaer, with Fikayo Tomori missing out after failing a late fitness test.

Alexis Saelemaekers will be the right wing-back over captain Davide Calabria with Theo Hernandez on the opposite flank, while Sandro Tonali is accompanied by Rade Krunic in midfield given Ismael Bennacer is still not 100%.

The attacking trident will consist of Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao playing slightly behind the centre-forward Olivier Giroud in what is down as a 3-4-2-1 system.

Official Milan XI (3-4-2-1): Tatarusanu; Kalulu, Thiaw, Kjaer; Saelemaekers, Krunic, Tonali, Theo Hernandez; Diaz, Leao; Giroud.

Bench: Mirante, Gabbia, Calabria, Ballo-Touré, Pobega, Origi, Rebic, De Ketelaere, Messias.

Official Spurs XI (3-4-2-1): Forster; Romero, Dier, Lenglet; Emerson, Skipp, Sarr, Perisic; Kulusevski, Son; Kane.

Bench: Austin, Whiteman, Sánchez, Richarlison, Danjuma, Pedro Porro, Tanganga, Moura, B. Davies, Devine.

          1. Well I’m not a “top level” footballer, so…great point? Did someone pee in your cheerios this morning? You’re awfully aggressive.

          2. If you know you’re NOT a top level footballer then don’t talk like you’re better than them. Learn to respect those players. Period.

          3. Climb out of your petulant little p|ssypants and show me where I said I’m better. 😂 He kicked the first one straight at Forster, that’s not debatable, and if it hadn’t come straight back to him AGAIN then he wouldn’t have been in a position to finish with the header. It was luck in our favor but still luck. Get over it.

    1. I remember the good old summer days when Adli was showing great promise and then we also got CDK. I really thought we won’t see Diaz playing for Milan again. What a nightmare this season has turned out to be.

  1. Low chances against PL side. Players must be kept for last 16 Serie A games. And cardinale should dream European impact without big names in the club.

  2. I was hoping kjaer would be there. We need his experience….not just Thiaw facing those beast Infront of us. I believe we can win. Forza MILAN!!❤️🖤

  3. No Tomori, FFS. Despite the above lineup implying Thiaw will be in the middle of the three it has to be Kjaer in the middle since he is the slowest, which means that Thiaw will be less effective in defending crosses from open play. I don’t know why, but I had hope for this game, but of all the things wrong with us this one last minute absence has crushed it.

  4. I hope tonight will at least be the night which diaz actually plays well.
One can only hope, cause diaz can only plays well in 1 out of 15 to 20 games.
    He’s weak, can’t shoot, can’t pass, can’t dribble.
    Another bojan krkic.
As much as i hate hakan, at least hakan can deliver passes and create chances.

  5. Premier League clubs are way ahead of Serie A clubs. I am just hoping not get humiliated by 4:0 or 5:0

Maybe table will turn unexpectedly and we can come back to Milan with a win!!!

  6. We have the most injuries because Pioli did not adapt new players and give them time, but rather he has been playing almost the same XI since September. There is no such coach in Serie A doing this stupidity. Of course we should have the most injuries. Now he can’t give minutes to new players because they are out of form lol

  7. Very witty retort, you’re clearly quite an intelligent individual.

Pioli doesn’t give new players a fair shake, relies on his ol’ favorites week in and week out, they wear down and get injured.

      1. Do you need a hug? I won’t give you one, because you’re a complete d|ck, but is that why you’re so angry all the time? Noone loves you?
