Official: Milan sign teenage defender Valeri Vladimirov from Botev Plovdiv

AC Milan have secured the signing of a talent for the future as Valeri Vladimirov has had his contract deposited with Lega Serie A, a report claims.

As TMW write, the Milan management always have an eye on players who in a few years could form part of the future core of the senior side, and that is why they moved concretely to sign the 16-year-old Vladimirov.

Indeed, the teenager has been bought by the Rossoneri on a permanent basis from Botev Plovdiv and after depositing his contract with Lega Serie A, the defender has signed a three-year agreement with the Diavolo.

Vladimirov was born in Plovdiv and joined the academy of his hometown club before yesterday being officially made a new Milan player, signing a contract until June 2027. He stands at 1.90m tall and is right-footed but can also play in the left centre-back position too.

He is already on the international radar as well it seems, having represented Bulgaria in both the U16 and U17 age categories. The report states that he will initially begin with Milan’s U17 team.

With the Milan Futuro side now in place and several talents from the Primavera promoted to that team, there is now another piece in the pathway up from being a player in the younger age groups to eventually making the first team.
