Official: AC Milan vs. Dortmund starting XIs – Adli gets the nod

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has made three changes to the starting line-up for the game against Borussia Dortmund tonight compared to the team that beat Fiorentina on Saturday.

Having beaten La Viola 1-0 at the weekend to end a four-game winless run in Serie A, Milan must once again up their performance levels tonight against Dortmund in what is almost a must-win game if they are to make the Champions League knockout stages.

The starting eleven is has been chosen and it begins from the same foundations with Mike Maignan in goal protected by a back four of Davide Calabria, Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez.

The midfield will be composed of Tijjani Reijnders, Loftus-Cheek and Yacine Adli with the latter preferred to Rade Krunic. It is possible, just like against PSG, that the Englishman will be used in a more advanced position.

The attacking trident will feature Samuel Chukwueze on the right wing once again, Christian Pulisic on the left side against his former club and Olivier Giroud – whose suspension only applies in the league – up front.

Official Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Hernandez; Adli, Reijnders; Chukwueze, Loftus-Cheek, Pulisic; Giroud.

Bench: Mirante, Nava, Florenzi, Bartesaghi, Krunic, Pobega, Chaka Traore, Jovic.

Official Dortmund XI (4-2-3-1): Kobel; Ryerson, Hummels, Schlotterbeck, Bensebaini; Can, Sabitzer; Malen, Reus, Gyttens; Fullkrug.

Bench: Meyer, Lotka, Ozcan, Reyna, Haller, Wolf, Moukoko, Brandt, Adeyemi, Blank.

  1. Guys, please, don’t lose to those arrogant dortmunt players. They have been talking shite a lot. Saying that they can easily beat us

  2. The midfield looks good on paper , balanced; a trio of players with different qualities.

But what’s up with Pioli not fielding his boy Krunic lately?

    1. Milan ain’t qualifying for round of sixteen so that the stupid cardinale can see d reasons to sack that idiot pioli and his lovers

  3. GUYS, DON’T WATCH THE GAME. DO NOT WATCH THE GAME. YOUR FAMILY NEEDS YOU. DON’T KILL YOUR NERVE AND BRAIN CELLS FOR THIS SH*T. F***K SAKE

    1. Yeah, but we need to finish top 4. It’s not like they’re just giving that to us. We’re 5 points above 5th place. I also want Pioli gone, but right now, even with CL elimination, is not the right moment. If we drop too many points between here and January, than maybe yes, but it’s a delicate moment.

      1. We are not getting top 4 with this buffoon.

More is lost with inaction then action, get rid of him and a lot of these poor signings and start signing quality players. I know what I’m asking is nigh impossible with these cheap idiotic moneyball owners but it’s the only way to get back to winning trophies.

    1. Unless pioli is sacked Ac Milan will never go forward with pioli sacked krunic will be gone krunic is d badluck in Milan we lose every game he plays
