Official: AC Milan vs. Parma starting XIs – Biglia starts as Pioli makes three changes

By Oliver Fisher -

Stefano Pioli has decided to make three changes to the starting eleven that managed a 2-2 draw against Napoli at the weekend. Given the tight schedule, rotation is key to stay fit.

The Rossoneri are undefeated in all competitions since the break and have won four out of six of their Serie A matches, including wins over Roma, Lazio and Juventus and a hard-fought 2-2 draw with Napoli on Sunday.

There were a few players unavailable for Pioli including the suspended Alexis Saelemaekers plus the injured Lucas Paqueta, Samu Castillejo, Leo Duarte and Mateo Musacchio.

Lucas Biglia will play from the first minute, giving Ismael Bennacer some much-needed rest after playing all games since the resumption. To replace Saelemaekers, the manager has opted for Rafael Leao, who scored against Juventus.

Official Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Conti, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Kessie, Biglia; Leao, Bonaventura, Calhanoglu; Ibrahimovic.

Parma’s starting eleven is what you would expect, with Kulusevski and Cornelius leading the attack after what has been a fantastic season for both.

Official Parma XI (4-3-3): Sepe; Darmian, Iacoponi, Bruno Alves, Gagliolo; Grassi, Brugman, Kurtic; Kulusevski, Cornelius, Gervinho
