Official: Ballo-Toure starts for Milan Futuro in clash against Legnago Salus

Fode Ballo-Toure has been out in the cold ever since his return from Fulham in the summer. However, with the January window approaching, AC Milan have decided to put him to work with the Futuro side, starting in tonight’s game.

Ballo-Toure spent last season on loan at Fulham and Milan attempted to sell him over the summer, but a move to Saint-Etienne collapsed in the final stages. Subsequently, the Rossoneri didn’t register him in any of their first-team squad lists.

In recent weeks, however, the left-back has returned to Milanello for training with the Futuro side and tonight, he’s starting for them against Legnago Salus. Kick-off is scheduled for 17:30 CEST and it will be very interesting to see what kind of form he’s in.

It certainly makes sense to get him back to some kind of level ahead of January, as the goal is obviously to sell him then. His value has obviously decreased a lot in recent months but they might still be able to get something, and at the very least he’s still on the payroll and can be of help to the Futuro side now.

Official Milan Futuro XI (4-2-3-1): Raveyre; Jimenez, Zukic, Bartesaghi, Ballo-Touré; Sandri, Hodzic; Fall, Zeroli, Traoré; Camarda.
