Official: Cagliari vs. Milan starting XIs – Ibrahimovic starts with Kessie-Tonali in midfield

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has made a number of changes to his starting XI for the game against Cagliari compared to the win over Torino in the cup.

The Rossoneri are without Rafael Leao, the injured duo of Matteo Gabbia and Ismael Bennacer, plus the COVID-positive quartet of Rade Krunic, Ante Rebic, Hakan Calhanoglu and Theo Hernandez.

Pioli though will be able to console himself with the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the starting XI and with the return of Alexis Saelemaekers on the right wing.

Gianluigi Donnarumma will be in goal protected by a back four of Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer, Alessio Romagnoli and Diogo Dalot, with Franck Kessie and Sandro Tonali ahead of them.

Samu Castillejo, Brahim Diaz and Jens Petter Hauge will make up the trio supporting Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the paper reports.
