Chaka Traore has parted ways with AC Milan to join Partizan Belgrade, as confirmed by the Rossoneri on their website.
Five years ago, Milan picked up Chaka Traore from a newly relegated Parma side. It was a hyped deal at the time, seeing as the forward was only 16 years old at the time and had already made his Serie A debut.

He made his debut a few years later, more specifically in 2023, as he came on for the Rossoneri against Borussia Dortmund. His first goal came at the start of 2024, when he found the back of the net against Cagliari.
In other words, there was always a lot of potential surrounding the players and many expected him to break through any second. That didn’t quite end up happening and now, Milan have parted ways with him permanently.

“AC Milan can confirm that Chaka Traorè has joined FK Partizan Belgrade on a permanent basis.
The Club would like to thank Chaka for his professionalism and wishes him all the best for his personal and professional future,” the statement reads.
No figure has been mentioned yet, but one might suspect that it was a rather favourable one as Milan bagged Andrej Kostic from Partizan Belgrade for much less than expected.
I watched a few futuro games, and he is a fast and direct attacker. His touch and technical game is holding him back, so I don’t think we lost a superstar. He is still 21 though, so maybe we should’ve sent him to a smaller club and included a buy back clause.

It seems to have been part of the Kostic deal because it is a very strange destination for him. I thought he would get promoted or transferred to a Serie B or newly promoted Serie A side. I hope he goes on to have a good career. It’s sad that he, Liberali, Simic, D. Maldini, De Ketelaare and many others have not been given a chance to develop. I know they aren’t stars but that hasn’t been the bar for the first team these past three seasons. Think of all the minutes that Gimenez, J.Felix, Abraham, Musah, Loftus-Cheek, E.Royal…etc. have gotten and how much they have given back. Was it worth blocking our Primavera and Futuro players?
Coubis, Kerkez, Zeroli, Romero, Hauge, Camarda…
Only Kerkez has done well since he was sold, and tbh, he had an awful start to his Liverpool career. All young players struggle to perform consistently.
You have to be truly special to hit the ground running, i.e., Yamal. Other than that, all of these players could peak at 17 and never get better.
Injuries, IQ, and commitment are so important to being a good player.

Hauge has turned out pretty decent as well.
