Official: Chief Communications Officer to leave Milan – Gazidis and Scaroni comment

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have announced that Chief Communication Officer Fabio Guadagnini will leave the club at the beginning of September.

The news was broken by the club’s official website and continues the reshuffle that the Rossoneri have continued to make under owners Elliott Management Corporation.

Guadagnini joined Milan back in 2017 when Yonghong Li’s group took the club over, having previously held a position at Sky Italia.

CEO Ivan Gazidis commented on the news and expressed his gratitude for Guadagnini’s three years of service.

“I am very grateful to Fabio for his consistent professionalism and dedication to his work and to the club,” he said.

“He has always put the Club’s interests first and has made a significant contribution to AC Milan during his time here. On behalf of everyone at the Club and in particular, on my own behalf, I would like to thank Fabio for his consistent support and contribution and to wish him all the best in his new endeavours.”

Executive chairman Paolo Scaroni added: “I wish Fabio Guadagnini a successful professional future. Fabio has proved to be a true professional in the difficult environment of sports communication.”

Finally, Guadagnini reflected on his time with the Rossoneri.

“I am honoured and proud to have been part of AC Milan. In these intense seasons, I have always placed the Club’s interest on top of all my activities,” he said.

“I am grateful to the Club and its Senior Top Management for their trust. Thanks to all my colleagues for their support and collaboration. It is an experience that has marked my life and strengthened me, making me ready for my next professional challenge. I wish AC Milan and its marvellous fans a bright and successful future.”
