Official: Dumfries handed fine for taunting Hernandez during Scudetto celebrations

By Isak Möller -

Inter’s Denzel Dumfries has been handed a fine for taunting AC Milan star Theo Hernandez during the Scudetto celebrations at the end of April. This was confirmed by the FIGC on Friday afternoon in an official statement.

Hernandez and Dumfries certainly have a history of getting into heated arguments, with it happening almost every single derby. Last time out, they were both sent off for grabbing chokeholds of each other, which says a lot about the matter.

During the Scudetto celebrations towards the end of April, Dumfries received a banner from the fans of him and Hernandez portrayed in a famous GTA meme. The Dutchman took the opportunity and held the banner high, so that everyone present could see it.

In a statement yesterday, as cited by Football Italia, the FIGC confirmed that Dumfries has been handed a fine of €4k for his actions after a plea bargain was reached with Inter. It remains to be seen if another chapter will be written next season.

  1. Whatever…. We win a Scudetto we clown on them. They win a Scudetto they clown on us. Comes with the territory.

4K is a joke, but it sums up the FIGC perfectly in that it only makes it look like they are doing something when in reality it’s sh|t…

  2. Who gives a fvck about this d*mbass when Milan in the process of destroying themself and in the hurry to go back to banter era because Gerry and the new management stupidity.
