AC Milan head coach Paulo Fonseca has named his starting line-up for the game against Fiorentina tonight, and he has once again opted to go with consistency.
The absentees for the game are as follows: Ismael Bennacer, Marco Sportiello and Alessandro Florenzi who are all recovering from surgery, plus Luka Jovic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Davide Calabria who have minor issues, and Davide Bartesaghi who is suspended.
Fonseca has opted to name Mike Maignan in goal with a back four of Emerson Royal, Matteo Gabbia, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez ahead of the Frenchman. Youssouf Fofana and Tijjani Reijnders keep their places in the midfield engine room.
Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao are on the right and left wings respectively, with Alvaro Morata returning to the line-up as the only change from the team that lost to Bayer Leverkusen in midweek. He will partner Tammy Abraham up front.

The starters will need a break at some point. I can only hope we get a significant enough of a lead in the first half to rest some of them in second.

Yes players will need rest, unfortunately that bench is a disaster, Okafor the only player worth a spot in the team right now and even he has had a few poor games
Not true. Plenty of talent on the bench except for fullback. Even Jovic, while not good as a lone striker now that they play with 2 up top that suits him much better. Pavlovic before the Liverpool game was arguably our best defender. Has one bad game and now he can’t play anymore? RLC and Mushah can both be used to give Fofana or Reijnders a rest.

Yeah it looked sketchy to me as well as it seemed to me that Theo was first trying to kick the ball and then the Fiorentina players basically just put his leg in there.
At least Maignan saved it though.
