Official: Hellas Verona vs. Milan starting XIs – six changes from Udinese as Pioli battles crisis

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has been forced into making six changes to his starting XI compared to the team that drew with Udinese in midweek.

Pioli will be without a number of his key players as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Hakan Calhanoglu, Mario Mandzukic, Ismael Bennacer, Ante Rebic and Daniel Maldini have all been left out of the squad. Theo Hernandez and Sandro Tonali will leave for the Stadio Bentegodi, but sources close to Milan speak of muscular problems for both, who will remain on the bench as a precaution.

Gianluigi Donnarumma will be in goal, protected by a back four from right the left consisting of Davide Calabria, Fikayo Tomori, Alessio Romagnoli and Diogo Dalot. Soualiho Meite partners Franck Kessie in midfield.

Samu Castillejo will be on the right wing with Alexis Saelemaekers on the left, and Rade Krunic acting as the playmaker behind Rafael Leao.
