OFFICIAL: Higuain suspended two matches for rant at referee

Gonzalo Higuain will miss AC Milan’s next two matches following his red card on Sunday night, it has been confirmed.

The Argentine received two yellow cards in the space of seconds; the first for committing a foul and the second for dissent towards eferee Paolo Mazzoleni.

In the official press release, the sport judge declared:
 
“HIGUAIN, Gonzalo Gerardo (Milan): To protest against the referees (third sanction); for severely disrespectful conduct towards the referee, having approached him, at the time of the warning for protests to the 38th of the second half, in a disordered and threatening way, and having blatantly reiterated the protests at the time of removal from the ground of play.”
