Official: Lazio vs. AC Milan starting XIs – Five changes made by Pioli as Ibrahimovic starts

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has made a number of changes from the starting XI that drew with SPAL for Saturday’s game against Lazio.

Milan will be looking to put a disappointing result behind them when they travel to the capital to face Lazio on Saturday. The Rossoneri drew 2-2 with relegation-battling SPAL in Ferrara having trailed 2-0 at half-time and having played over half of the game with a man advantage.

There were positives to be taken from the battling spirit that Pioli’s men showed, but it is definitely a game viewed as two points dropped especially given how Roma and Napoli also both lost.

Gianluigi Donnarumma is in goal, protected by a back four of Andrea Conti, Simon Kjaer, Alessio Romagnoli and Theo Hernandez.

The midfield consists of Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer again, with Alexis Saelemaekers ahead on the right in place of the injured Samuel Castillejo.

Jack Bonaventura is the trequartista with Hakan Calhanoglu on the left, while in attack Zlatan Ibrahimovic gets the nod.

Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Conti, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer; Saelemaekers, Bonaventura, Calhanoglu; Ibrahimovic.

Probable Lazio XI (3-5-1-1): Strakosha; Patric, Acerbi, Radu; Lazzari, Parolo, Leiva, Milinkovic-Savic, Jony; Luis Alberto; Correa.
