It had been rumoured for some weeks, and now it has been made official that Rafael Leao has changed his number at AC Milan.
During the time of his renewal negotiations the idea emerged that Leao would move from No.17 to No.10, something which became possible after Brahim Diaz’s loan spell was concluded and he returned to Real Madrid.
Now, the switch has been confirmed and there is another interesting detail: the Portuguese winger has gone from having ‘R.LEÃO’ as his shirt name to ‘RAFA LEÃO’.

In the hope that this change in name and number will be positive and useful for the big Milan. Rafa must enter more into the penalty area and act on the field as a second striker not just a player on the wing and be more powerful and combative by performing at the defensive level
He is clearly better on wing, where he got more space than enter penalty area.
The few times Pioli tried him closer to the box, he looked lost.
