Official: Lecce vs. AC Milan starting XIs – one change from Cremonese defeat

Massimiliano Allegri has announced his starting XI for tonight’s game between AC Milan and Lecce, making one change from the defeat against Cremonese. 

Milan desperately need to bounce back with a win tonight, especially given the somewhat chaotic mood among the fans due to the mercato worries. The Curva Sud will be back to chanting, as was confirmed earlier today, and that should help the team a lot.

That being said, there are many absences to continue, most notably Rafael Leao even if Ardon Jashari’s serious injury is a huge blow too. As if that wasn’t enough, Christian Pulisic isn’t 100% and thus starts on the bench, as you can see below.

Given the absences and the lack of depth, with the new Futuro signing Cheveyo Balentien even called up, Allegri has made just one change from the Cremonese defeat. Instead of Pulisic, who has a minor injury as mentioned, Yunus Musah is playing from start.

Of course, the American won’t be in Pulisic’s position, but rather in the wing-back role while Alexis Saelemaekers will take the step up. As for Lecce, Francesco Camarda is starting up front, which should make things very interesting.

    We have had years now of poorly constructed squads but this year takes the biscuit. It is just horrific, will not suit any system.

    My heart will always cheer Milan but my brain tells me we will be doing well to finish top half of the table.

    If we lose today, we can only hope Camarda gets a goal, so we have something positive

    1. Sad really, he was so good in preseason. Looked like the player we have needed.
      Allegri says Jashari is a player for in front of the defence. So I guess we brought in 3 midfielders for that role

  9. I am mostly positive, supporting the management and coach, but this time i really dont know. Was excited to see allegri, but this formations and players are just sad, nothing more, just sad silence with tear on cheek.

    Whole seria a must be laughting at the salemakers as central forward… And still the same midfield which lost last game, like he got nothing out of the last game.

    1. 80% confident we are going to lose this game because our defence has no cover. As a fan, this is so sad to experience. Feels like the team has no magic, no excitement.

  10. The funiest thing is Sale who is right footed playing on the right, and Gemenez left footed playing on the left, making it harder for them to shoot with their stronger foot. Maybe Sale will be like a SS moving left and right behind striker who knows. In general bad line up but its against Lecce so we might get away with it.

    Giovanni Fabian who is a backup at Bologna and a player Milan is interested got a call.
    Frattesi, who i think is still injured or not a 100% got a call.
    Rovella was called up.
    What do Allegri and Gattuso know that we don’t?
    They must have not read the glowing reviews from Milan’s pre season.

    Its better to drop RLC and Replace Musah,and the Position of Musah to Put Salaemakaers
    and the Place of Salamakaers as Secimd Striker is put Modric and The place of Modric Ricci is to be put as no 6.
    also Tomori is totally be benched and Zachary or De winter is to replaced
