AC Milan have officially announced that Marko Lazetic has left the club on a season-long loan deal, joining Fortuna Sittard until 2024.
The official website confirms that Milan have loaned Lazetic to Eredivisie side Fortuna Sittard until 30 June 2024, and they go on to add that they would like to wish Marko all the best for the coming season.
The 19-year-old has been at Milan since the January window of the 2021-22 Scudetto season when he joined from Red Star in Serbia. Last season he spent time out on loan with SCR Altach in Austria, but failed to make much of an impact.
Now, a new opportunity has presented itself in the Netherlands. Sittard finished 13th out of 18 teams in the Dutch top flight last season and are hoping to ascend up the table in the current campaign.
For Lazetic, it is a chance to hopefully get some consistent playing time and continue his development towards a first team spot.
