Official: Milan announce departure of Plizzari to Serie B side Reggina

In addition to reinforcing the squad, Milan are also working on departures and after saying goodbye to Suso and Ricardo Rodriguez, another deal was confirmed today. That being said, it isn’t on a permanent basis.

Alessandro Plizzari, who is owned by the Rossoneri, spent this past season in Serie B and wasn’t favoured with the best of defences, as Livorno finished dead last and got relegated. However, the goalkeeper is now ready for a new adventure in the league.

As announced by Milan on their website, they have reached an agreement with newly-promoted Reggina for the loan of Plizzari. The Calabrian side finished first this past season and are following an ambitious project.

“AC Milan announces the transfer of the registration rights of the player, Alessandro Plizzari, to Reggina 1914 on a temporary deal,” they stated.

Some Milan fans were hoping to see the 20-year-old in the red and black shirt next season, seeing as a backup goalkeeper is needed. That being said, Gigio Donnarumma is rarely injured and Plizzari needs playing time to continue his development.
