AC Milan have announced the renewals of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, the technical respectively sporting director of the club. The negotiations between the parties took longer than expected, but now it’s done.
It has been a few anxious weeks for the Milan fans as the future is very much dependent on both Maldini and Massara. The lack of renewals, therefore, delayed everything on the market and also raised questions about the future.
Fortunately, the parties have now reached an agreement and this was announced by AC Milan just a short while ago. Maldini and Massara were at Casa Milan all day yesterday and then eventually signed the contract offers presented to them.
“AC Milan are pleased to announce today that the Club’s Board of Directors has approved a two-year renewal deal for the services of Technical Area Director Paolo Maldini and Sport Director Frederic Massara. This deal highlights the importance of continuity we see throughout the Club as we continue to strengthen and grow,” the statement read.
This will inevitably unlock the market and we can expect to see some movement in the coming weeks. The Rossoneri are eager to reinforce ahead of next season as they hope to defend the title and grab their 20th Scudetto (thus getting two stars).
