The 30 finalists for the Ballon d’Or award have been revealed, and AC Milan defender Simon Kjaer has made the shortlist.
France Football have named Kjaer among the 30 names, clearly believing that the centre-back stands out among others for his exceptional performances with Milan and Denmark, and of course for his quick thinking during Christian Eriksen’s cardiac arrest at the European Championships, which probably had an impact on his nomination. You can take a look at the confirmation photo below…

Of course he won’t get it, but it is nice they recognise the importance of what he has done during Euros for his teammate.
Am glad that he was atleast recognised
He will.. nothing is impossible..
I think it is more than just the Euro. Since his arrival in Milan, we have seen how Milan defense has improved and even himself because he has been one of the key pieces of AC Milan reconstruction. His role at the Danish team has gone further than the field… I hope Milan doesn’t let him go. They should renew him for sure
He has been one of serie a best defenders last season and this he deserves it!!
