The 30 finalists for the Ballon d’Or award have been revealed, and AC Milan defender Simon Kjaer has made the shortlist.
France Football have named Kjaer among the 30 names, clearly believing that the centre-back stands out among others for his exceptional performances with Milan and Denmark, and of course for his quick thinking during Christian Eriksen’s cardiac arrest at the European Championships, which probably had an impact on his nomination.
